Guides meet every Thursday from 7.30pm, usually in the Church Hall (unless we’re off ice skating, swimming, having campfires or wide games etc). Girls aged 10 to 14 years are welcome to join.
We have a programme led by the girls themselves (anything from cooking and eating to drama, parties, art and crafts, dance and keep fit), but supported by qualified adult leaders. There are extra weekend activities available through Girlguiding, plus international trips and our annual camp. Team building and leadership skills are also encouraged.
Guide News:
You can help!
Many thanks to everyone who has been recycling and collecting items for Guides to date. Just to remind you, we collect (and will continue do so for the foreseeable future): Sainsbury's Active Kids vouchers; Taylor's tea tokens; unwanted/old/used stamps; mobile phones; spectacles; greetings cards; foreign currency; printer cartridges; plus unwanted gifts that we could sell on the Lalgadh stall at Church Parade. Everything will benefit a variety of charities and/or our Guides. They can be left either in the bag on the Guide notice board or, if they are too bulky, in a carrier bag hung on a coat hook in the choir vestry. Alternatively ring me with any queries on Harrogate 503475.
