Who
are we ?
St Paul's is part of the Yorkshire
Synod of the United Reformed Church, which unites the traditions
of Presbyterians, Congregationalists and Churches of Christ in the
United Kingdom.
Although most of the congregation of around 350 - including members, adherents and friends - live in Harrogate itself, St Paul’s also gathers people from Knaresborough, Wetherby and the surrounding villages.
Like any family we have a good age mix with a lively Junior Church and Youth Group, together with a full range of Scouting and Girl Guide units.

What
do we stand for ?
To know Jesus and to make him known.
We at St Paul’s are a gathered community whose chief end is to glorify God and to enjoy him for ever.
We seek to honour the Lord Jesus Christ in personal living, in congregational fellowship, and in outreach to the community.
Our calling is to be Bible-based, Christ-centered, Spirit-filled people of prayer, exercising good stewardship of our resources both human and material |

The wider
church
St Paul’s is one of five United Reformed Churches in and around Harrogate, the others being Providence Dacre; Bilton Grange; West
Park Harrogate and Knaresborough. There are close links between the five churches, all of which belong to the Harrogate & Knaresborough Mission and Care Group, and joint evening services are held during the course of the year. St Paul’s also has close links with the two other churches in Victoria Avenue - West Park and Harrogate Baptist Church - and joint services are held at Easter and Christmas.
We are involved with the Town Centre Churches Together in
Harrogate (St Peter's Parish Church, St Robert's Roman Catholic Church,
Wesley Methodist Chapel, Harrogate Baptist Church, The Society of Friends and our neighbour West Park URC).
We also support the wider work of the church through, for
example, Traidcraft, Commitment for Life and Christian Aid.

Not
just for Sundays !
Although our life together centres principally around worship there are many other activities taking place every week on the church premises. Full details can be found on this website.
The church doors are open every Wednesday, Friday and the First and Third Saturdays to welcome new friends and also to provide an opportunity for prayer and meditation.
