Junior Church began again in September, with many changes taking place.  This year, we are running our classes in a different way.  We used to use printed material from the Oasis bookshop to teach our classes.  This year, we are taking our subject from the reading in church and Brian’s discussion with the children.  This will also be linked up with teachings from the New Testament.  We feel the children will take more away from this and those running the class feel more engaged by the subject also.  We hope this will be very successful over the coming year.

With a new format, we felt it would be appropriate for the children to chose new names for the groups.  Our 4-6 year olds are now called ‘The Cheeky Monkeys’, the 7-9 year olds are ‘St Paul’s Dragons’ and 9-11 year olds are ‘The Muddy Pigs’.

We all enjoyed the song we prepared for the Harvest Festival. and say “Thankyou”  to all for the wonderful donations which were gratefully received by the Harrogate Homeless Centre.

The end of October approaches and with that, we start our preparations for the Nativity.  It may seem a long way off now, but it’s amazing how quickly the weeks fly by.
