Welcome whether you’re new to St Paul’s, a neighbour in Harrogate, or already part of our church family.
This page explains who we are, what we believe, and how we live it out together.
Core values – what shapes everything we do
Healthy
We pursue spiritual maturity, mutual care and unity so people can grow and flourish. A healthy church means discipleship, honest relationships and leadership that equips the whole community. (Ephesians 4:11–16)
Bible-Based
Scripture is our foundation. We read, teach and apply God’s Word so our beliefs and practices stay rooted in truth. (2 Timothy 3:16)
Gospel-Led
The life, death and resurrection of Jesus are central. The gospel shapes our preaching, pastoral care and how we give hope to Harrogate. (John 3:16; Romans 1:16)
Church is more than a Sunday service; it’s neighbours caring for neighbours. We aim to build authentic relationships and serve our local community in practical ways. (Acts 2:42–47)
Mission-Driven
We send and we go. Obedient to the Great Commission, our ministries are designed to reach people with the good news and make disciples. (Matthew 28:18–20)

Mission – what we exist to do
Know Christ personally
We encourage deep, life-changing relationship with Jesus through prayer, Scripture and community. Spiritual growth is personal and communal, shaped by worship, study and daily obedience. (Philippians 3:10; John 17:3; 2 Timothy 3:16; Romans 12:2)
Make him known publicly
We proclaim the gospel clearly and live it out through service, outreach and compassion. Our worship and witness are intended to introduce people to Jesus and to demonstrate his love in action. (Matthew 28:19–20; Romans 5:8; Acts 2:42–47)
