Whether you’re brand new to church, new to Harrogate or the surrounding area, or simply looking for a church to belong to, you’re very welcome at St Paul’s.

curious questions, doubts, families, students and those who’ve not been to church for years are all warmly received. If it helps, a member of our welcome team will be there to meet you and answer any questions.

What to expect on your first visit

  • A warm greeting at the door and someone ready to help you find a seat.
  • A relaxed service lasting about 60 minutes with songs, prayer, Bible reading and a short, Bible-based talk. Sermons are clear and practical.
  • Words and song slides projected on screen so you can join in easily.
  • Refreshments and a chance to meet people after the service.

What should I wear?

Casual or smart, whatever you feel comfortable in. You’ll fit right in dressed however you like.

Where do I park?

Parking is available at St Peter’s School during the morning service. See our Contact page for a map and directions.

Are there groups for children?

Yes! We run age-appropriate groups during the service and welcome families. If you’re bringing very young children we have a friendly space for parents and a quiet area if you need it.

How long is the service?

Around 60 minutes. Children’s groups run during the service and refreshments follow.

Is the building accessible?

Yes! the church is fully wheelchair accessible. If you have other accessibility needs, please contact us so we can make your visit comfortable.

Will I be put on the spot?

Never! No one will single you out to pray or speak unless you choose to.

What about offering/giving?

There is a voluntary offering during the service for those who wish to give. There’s no expectation for visitors to give.

Do you celebrate Communion / Baptism?

We celebrate Holy Communion together four times a year and sometimes baptise new Christians or children of Christian parents. If you’d like to know more about baptism or Communion, please ask; we’re happy to explain.

Can I ask questions or speak to someone?

Absolutely. Our welcome team and clergy are available after the service and during the week, we’d love to talk, pray with you, or help you get connected.
