St Paul’s Guides (girls 10 to 14 years of age) are enthusiastic and very active, taking part in a wide range of activities throughout the year. Our girls regularly participate in international events as well as national events all over the UK (residentials, doing community work, archery, sailing, climbing, pioneering, windsurfing &c &c). Normal weekly meetings are quite informal and inspired by the ideas the girls themselves come up with. We are outdoors frequently in the summer term with campfires, wide games, various adventure trails, balsam bashing etc. The other two terms we enjoy cooking (and eating), crafts, drama, keeping fit, safe and healthy, pampering sessions and games, often with outside speakers or trips out. We encourage the development of both teamwork and leadership skills in everything we do. We have close ties with Lalgadh hospital in South Nepal for whom we fundraise, and also participate in many environmental and community activities.
