Tuesday Club

We are a ladies group, which is open to all whether or not they are members of St Paul’s, and our aim is to provide an evening of friendship and fellowship.  We enjoy a very varied programme including speakers, entertainment and outings and meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month (except July and August) in the Church Hall on Belford Road starting at 7.30pm.

The After Eights

We are a group of ladies who meet on the second Friday every two months and events include meals out, relaxed evenings chatting in members’ homes and our summer social in July to which we invite partners.

The main purpose of our group is to provide fellowship and friendship, enabling the ladies to get to know each other, support each other and make lasting friendships.

We currently have 27 members with generally around 8 - 12 ladies attending an event and we are always happy to welcome new members to our friendly group.

Open Church Coffee Shop

The Coffee Shop, which is an important opportunity for church outreach and fellowship meets on the 3rd Saturday of the month in the Church Hall and also on the preceding Friday. At the same time the Church is open for visitors to spend time in prayer or meditation. We enjoy welcoming visitors from all over and have good times of fellowship over coffee (and tea) and teacakes.

Each Coffee Morning opens with a prayer and a Bible reading led by one of our volunteers. Charity mornings on the third Saturday of every month enable everyone to and learn about and support local and large charity organisations. We have been able to give hundreds of pounds to charities in addition to learning more about these good causes.

Fellowship

The Fellowship Committee, which seeks to build up and encourage the church family at St Paul’s, is an invited group of twelve people who organise social events suitable for all members of our congregation to attend.

We organise two to three events each year, such as a quiz, a ceilidh or similar social event to appeal to a wide cross section of the congregation.  Alongside these events, we organise cakes following the Harvest Service, a Harvest supper, mulled wine and mince pies at Christmas and fund a series of family breakfast services during the summer.

The Committee is led by Jo Cunningham who is always eager to listen to feedback from the congregation and welcomes ideas for any events they would like us to host.
