Choir

We are a group of people at St Paul's who enjoy singing in a four-part choir and who lead the musical items every week at Sunday worship.

New singers of any age are always very welcome - there are almost twenty members at present.  There are no auditions but membership is taken seriously, aiming to provide a wide variety of musical styles in hymns, introits and anthems, praising God and reflecting the themes for each Sunday.

The ability to read music is an advantage but certainly not essential.  All training is given within a friendly and relaxed atmosphere - and singing does make you feel better!

The Choir rehearses in the church each Thursday evening from 7.30pm to 9.00pm with a break from late July until early September.

Art Club

St Paul’s Art Group meet in the Centenary Rooms, usually on alternate Tuesday mornings from 9.30am to 12 mid-day.

If you enjoy drawing and painting and would like to join our small friendly group, you will be made most welcome. We all work in different mediums and enjoy learning more and sharing ideas together. Sometimes we also invite Artists to come and do workshops with us.

We pay about £10 for a half term towards the room and also to pay towards having Artists. Tea/Coffee and biscuits are included. We are always looking for Artists who would be willing to come and give us a demonstration or workshop.

Bible Study

We are a group of all ages who want to get to know God’s Word better. Recently we have worked through the books of Revelation, John’s Gospel and 2 Corinthians, and Genesis.   Everyone is welcome.

There are no exams and people can say as much or as little as they want. You will certainly find your mind being expanded and your thoughts challenged. What we have discovered is that the more you read the Bible, the more you want to read it.

We meet on Monday evenings from 7.30pm to 8.30 from September to early summer in the Centenary Rooms to the right of the front entrance of the Church.

Please contact Brian Hunt, the Minister via the contact section of our website.

Junior Church

St Paul's Junior Church welcomes children from the age of 3 to 11. There are crèche facilities for children under three, while those older are grouped into classes appropriate to their age.

We have fun, creative Bible-based classes during term-time, with Messy Church sessions during half-term holiday breaks.  Our lessons, which seek to present Jesus Christ to young people, grow out of the Old Testament story our Minister tells the children in church and lead into the New Testament. We all worship together in church as a family until after the second hymn when the children leave for Junior Church.

Some highlights of the year are our Nativity, Christmas Party, Easter Workshop and a Summer Fun Day for all the family.
